Adding an article is not difficult if you take it in stages.

Your Kidsgrove website is interactive to allow YOU to add your articles to the site.  This is a community site for all ages and we actively encourage participation from our online community.

Hopefully this article will show you how to add your articles to the site.  If you have any questions please raise them in the forum.

So, how do you get your story published?  Firstly, you need to be a member of the site and to log in.  Membership is free, so if you haven't joined already you will need to do this before you can add articles.

Once you're logged in, you need to click the "article submission" at the top of the page as shown here:

Once you've clicked this, you will get an "editor" open up.  Not quite as scary as it looks!    If you can use a Word Processor, then you should be OK with this....You have just a few fields to fill in that are marked on the diagram below.

- A title
- Your Text
- Choose a section for the article to appear into
- Choose a category in that section for your article.
if you can't see the category you want, change the section to display further categories

Here's where you add the information and what the screen looks like :-

If you want to add a picture to your article, this is how you do it.

When you click the pictures icon as shown above, you get a new window that opens which will allow you to add your picture to the article.

Very important - your image should be on the internet already, ideally a photobucket account (which is free) can be used dor displaying your pictures.

Here's what you do to display the picture in your post.

Happy posting!
